Interesting, and, well, oddly enough, you seemed to hit nationwide franchises like Subway and Starbucks on your recent trip to pick up seed in Illinois and South Dakota. When my Laura and I are traveling to take pictures, she’s an artist, at http://griffithart.com/ we always look for the small mom and pop restaurants that cater to the locals. I was just wondering if your small town/ farming upbringing have turned you against the mom and pop eateries. This hit me as a little odd because you were hitting all these great little towns in the out of the way places and still managed to find a Subway. Just wondering I guess.

Thanks, and really it’s just a case of what’s available when I’m ready to eat. If I’m tired and a Subway is right there, I usually hit it. If I feel I have time, I may look a little harder for a local place. I don’t do any of it consciously, it just happens to work out that way.
